Peterson Residence in Douglasville, Georgia
An existing 2 story residence overlooking a lake needed a modern facelift and addition that complemented the design. Views and communal spaces were a priority, this is a space to gather with friends and family. Updating the waterproofing and insulation to create a building envelope that operated more efficiently was key. Adding a greenhouse, roof deck and lots of windows with plenty of natural light and views to the surrounding nature blends the context with the users. Project is under construction, phase 1 being self performed by the client who is an amazingly capable and resourceful human being. We are better people for knowing Karl, look forward to a fancy dinner once this one is complete!
