National Bio and Aero-Defense Facility. NBAF
While working at Flad Architects as a Project Architect, Michael Rickman served on the team that designed a new state-of-art Biocontainment Research Lab located in Manhattan, Kansas. Flad joined with Perkins + Will as the team worked to create this 708,000 SF facility for the US Department of Homeland Security. The facility contains BSL-2,3 & 4 laboratories, which assist in the research and development of vaccines and anti-virals.
